Title: Student of Bushido (Feminist Style) & of Life

Gender: Female

Age: 38

Sun Sign: Pisces

Chinese Sign: Metal Boar

Location: Madison, Wisconsin

About Me:

I am a red-headed, spunky-spirited, caper-cutting, prone to easily blushing Irish woman who harnesses a tremendous love for cooking and baking and feeding people as often as reasonably possible (and then, even a little bit more)!  I thought I'd share the view from my Spirit's perspective while enjoying this most tremendous Journey called “Life” and its many new adventures.

So without further adieu, I am also:

* A Spiritual Being
My Path has traveled much ground studying many Ways and Traditions… but my own personal Spirituality blends my heritage with my faith… it is that of a Witch who walks a blend of Celtic/Warrior Path Practices. Bushido, Tao, Zen… all of these blend beautifully with the Warrior Celt in me and are the forms and practices I strive to live by.

* A Lesbian

* A Non-conformist to “Society's Polite Standards” as far as the unspoken rules go for “Ladies” of our day and age.  I enjoy being a bit of a “Yin/Yang Enigma”!

* A caper-cutting, corny, sometimes wry, sometimes dry (always silly) humoured, practical joker (only fun jokes, though!).  A natural side-affect of this is being somewhat spontaneous, too!

* A music connoisseur & aficionado…  I have been exposed to all manner of music since I was first born.  I think that's been a contributing factor to my love of all music - especially ethnic and classical.  I continue to play my violin (and less often, piano) for weddings and other minor gigs.  Music is heart-song to me.  I play several different instruments - many of them stringed. I also have a love for African (djembe) and Middle-Eastern (doumbek) drumming ('specially round a rip-roarin' bonfire)… I deeply enjoy so many different styles - from the afore-mentioned classical and Opera to Electronica, Rock, Poetry Slam, “Big Band”, music from around the world…

* An avid reader.  Books on bushido, zen wisdom, historical fiction, science fiction, anthropology, women's studies, any and all things Irish… I have an insatiable curiousity and love for learning.  I enjoy learning “smorgasbord style”… There are so many amazing things to study and take in throughout life…

With respect to my philosophy regarding my own Self growth, I follow Bagger Vance's advice:

“You got to look with soft eyes… See the place where the tides and the seasons, and the turnin' of the earth all come together. Where everything that is becomes one. You got to seek that place with your soul…”
~ Will Smith as “Bagger Vance” in “The Legend of Bagger Vance”

And I strive to create my world, life, and reality (what a dear soul-friend calls “Bending reality to my own will”) by working with the Plan noted in the movie, “What the Bleep Do We Know” as follows:

…”“So if we're consciously designing our destiny, and if we're consciously from a spiritual standpoint throwing in with the idea that our thoughts can affect our reality or affect our life – because reality equals life – then I have this little pact that I have when I create my day. I say, 'I'm taking this time to create my day and I'm infecting the quantum field. Now if (it) is in fact the observer's watching me the whole time that I'm doing this and there is a spiritual aspect to myself, then show me a sign today that you paid attention to any one of these things that I created, and bring them in a way that I won't expect, so I'm as surprised at my ability to be able to experience these things. And make it so that I have no doubt that it's come from you,'”…
~ Dr. Joe Dispenza in What the BLEEP Do We Know!?(TM)

I am, as we all are, on a Journey. We Irish call it the  “Immram” - a Spiritual Journey, across the Waters of Life…

See you on the Waters!  Namaste!!
